RAILWAY TIME-TABLE.
BACK TO THEOLD SERVICE ft
Wku.inc.ton, March 21
Some time ago, owing to representations from various Chambers of Commerce of towns on the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wellingtou-Napier lines, the Minister of Railways agreed to delay for about an hour the departure of the trains leaving Wellington for New Plymouth and for Napier. It was urged by the local bodies referred to that this would enable a more satisfactory service to be run between the blast and West Coast.
It is now understood that the new time-tabje, which will be issued in the course of a day or two, will be practically a reversion to the old time-table as far as the New Plymouth and Napier ■ lines are concerned. The former time-table suited the Railway Department very well and now that there appears to be no great desire to try to alter the old arrangement in regard to the East and West Coast connection the Minister has definitely decided to revert to something very near the former time-table.
