SCHOOL PICNIC.

The annual local State school picnic will take place on Monday next. The outing will take the form of a steamer excursion to the Beach. Mr Signal has generously consented to convey the scholars to and from the Beach free of cost, but adults will be charged is return. The catering at the Beach will be carried out by Mr Perreau. The children will be supplied with refreshments by the committee free of cost, and adults will be charged fid each. The boats will leave the wharf at 9 30 a.m., and return at about 6 p.m.
