ARBITRATION COURT.

FE AX MILLERS DISPUTE,

[By Telegraph.] [Special to Herald.] Palmerston N., This day

At the Arbitration Court this morning before Mr Justice Sim, and Messrs Scott and McCullough, the hearing of the dispute between the flaxmillers and flaxmill employees was commenced. Mr Pryor appeared for the employes, and Mr Dalhousie for the employees. Mr Dalhousie opened the case and the first witness called was Mr P. T. Robinson, secretary of the Union. Mr Pryor questioned the witness in reference to application of the Union rules, and endeavoured to show that the Union was biased against contractors.

R. Johnstone gave evidence as to the cost of living in Foxton. The case is proceeding.
