THAT ALLEGED BOYCOTT.
[to the editor.]
S'K.—Your editorial of March 3rd, in which it is suggested that the Government has placed a boycott on the Dominion newspaper at the Thorndon bookstall. Please allow me to explain. The bookstall was leased to the “Times” Company as the result of a tender open to all. We have not and will not refuse to allow the Dominion to be sold at the bookstall. The Dominion refuses to supply us. It prefers to pose as a newspaper with a grievance. As you know, Mr Editor, a man with a grievance is a nuisance to himself and everybody else. It is just the same with a newspaper, only more so.—l am, etc.,
Pierce C. Freeth, Managing-Editor N.Z. Times. Wellington, March 7th.
