Arthur M, Coles, M.A., was drowned in the Waikato estuary on Tuesday evening while proceeding to the rescue of a little boy. Deceased was principal of Queen’s College, and a highly respected resident. The body was recovered.
The Canterbury cadets are in high feather over Lord Kitchener’s appreciation of their appearance at drill during the Christchurch encampment.
