EGYPTIAN PREMIER SHOT.
Caiko, February 21
Wardany, a Mahomedan student, fired five shots from a revolver, seriously wounding Boutros Pasha, the Egyptian Premier. The shooting took place outside the Foreign Office, Cairo. His Highness was removed to the hospital.
Nationalist literature was found in Wardauy’s pocket. He acted as secretary to the Young Egyptian Congress at Geneva, and declares that he desired to avenge the Deushawi affair and to prolong the granting of the Suez Canal concession. Eater. Boutros Pasha is dead, Wardany belongs to the Nationalist Terrorist Society.
