RUTLAND HOTEL FIRE.
_— « FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS. Wanganui, February 16. Further developments are recorded in the Rutland Hotel fire sensation. The police had ascertained that three parcels were shipped by Davis to Nelson per the s.s. Arapawa on January n, and advice was received to-day that enquiries in Nelson revealed that stock said by Davis to be worth £3OO, and insured there by him for had been found stored in a Nelson auction room, and that he had ordered it to be withheld from sale pending further instructions.
