CHALLENGE CYCLE RACE.

On Wednesday J. Arnst rode over the Timaru-Christchurch course in connection with his challenge to A. Birch, who withdrew after Arnst’s disqualification by the North Canterbury Centre. Arnst is stated to have completed the distance in 6hrs. thus beating all previous competition records and faster than the most recent time by 2i^min.
