THE FOXTON AMATEURS.

At a general meeting of the local Amateur Dramatic Society, held on Thursday evening, it was finally decided that the next plays to be staged be the two wellknown comedies, “ Kleptomania ” and “ Our Regiment.” Both these pieces will be put into rehearsal almost immediately and will be produced at the Public Hall within the next two or three months.

The selection committee have allotted the parts as follows for “ Kleptomania,” a three act farcical comedy. —Major-General Blair, Mr G. S. Fcwler ; Professor Smally ,MrJ. Golder ; Inspector Turbotl, Mr J. T. Levett ; Dr. Watly, Mr A. H. Boyes ; Maytou (i butler), Mr K. H. Furrie ; Mr Gathermoss, Mr A- J. Imrie; Lady Josephine, Mrs Clemett ; Violet, (her daughter), Mrs Boyes; Mrs Gathermoss, Mrs Stewart; Rosina, Miss M. Levett ; and Phcebe, Miss F. Cook. For “Our Regiment,” the following is the caste.—Mr Dobbinson, Mr Alf. Fraser ; Mr EUaby, Mr W. M. Gordon ; Captain Featherstone, Mr A. McCall; Guy Warrener (Lieuteuant), Mr F. D. Whibley ; Rev. J. Talbot, Dr, Adams ; Batters, Mr W. E. Bullard ; Mrs Dobbinsou, Miss Slattery; Olive Dobbinsou, Miss Cook; Enid Thurston, Miss Levett; and Maud Ellaby, Miss Hennessy.
