HOLIDAY ASSOCIATION
A meeting of business people, convened by the Mayor for ihe purpose of discussing the advisability of forming a Holiday Association for Foxton, was held in the Council Chambers on Thursday evening last. The Mayor presided and there were present: —Messrs Hennessy, C. H. Collins, Pai&es, M, H. Walker,' Hamer, Betty 'Sfid Bullard, The Mayor explained the objects and benefits of such an association and also read a loter from Mr Q. H. Bennett, qfßalmerstou North, who had kirvE.y supplied information concerning the association in Talmers'ou North.
After discussion it was proposed by Mr Hennessy and secr,gj et f by Mr Collins, that a Foxton ZaEEay Association beTormed.—Cas||pThe Mayor was propo^fcH ß chairman, but asked to be allowed to propose Mr Hennessy on account ol pressure of work, The following officers were tteu elected;—Chairman, Mr Hennery; secretary and treasurer, Mr -is; committee, Messrs Stiles, Betty. Hamer, Walker, KEkek 1 and Collins. It was resolved that the subscription be as per annum in mvanvfe.
It was also decided that a list of business people be prepares, and they be asked to sign consajting to abide by the decision ot-the committee selected to regulate my holidays that may occur.
