A FULL EXPLANATION.

[To the Editor.]

Sir. —Re the explanation from Mr Read in Saturday’s issue iu the case Messeua v. Read, will you allow me to say that Mr Read’s explanation is not correct as Mr Messena let my house to Mr Read, and he has been my agent all through. I have had nothing to do with either collecting the rent or letting the house, Mr Read was in the house a fortnight before I knew about it. As for the rent I gave Mr Messeua permission to sue for it as it was in arrears, aud Mr Messena has had a lot of bother collecting it.—l am, etc.
