ENTERTAINMENTS.

RACE NIGHTS

It shoud hardly be necessary for us to remind our readers of the entertainment to be given in the Public Hall on Saturday and Monday evenings next by the local Amateurs. Those who did not see “The Ticket-of-leave Man” played on November 9th last, should not miss this opportunity as it will no doubt be the last time that the Society will stage the play in Foxton, and those who attended the last performance should make a point of being present on Saturday night, as there have been some slight alterations effected since November, and the staging of the play will he more elaborate. During the evening songs will be contributed by Mrs Boyes, Messrs W. E. Cook andG. S- Fowler.

On Monday evening, the farcical comedy “The Pickpocket” will be staged. This is a most laughable piece and the audience will be kept both amused and Interested from the rise of the curtain until its fall.

On both evenings the doors will open at 7.30 o’clock, and the plays will commence punctually at 8 o’clock. The prices of admission are 3s, 2s and is. BOUTTELL’S PICTURES.

PUBLIC HALL, TO-MORROW

NIGHT

We remind our readers of the first appearance in Foxtou of the above excellent picture combination, which is to appear in the Public Hall to-morrow night. If sufficient encouragement is aforded, Foxton will be included in the future circuit of the Company. Our exchanges speak in glowing terms of the entertainment, which is instsuctive and highly entertaining, while the prices are very reasonable.
