IN BANKRUPTCY.
MEETING OF C. T. EASTON'S CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of C. T. Easton was held in Mr Moore's office yesterday afternoon for the purpose of passing a resolution accepting the offer of A. S. Easton to pay five shillings in the pound. There were present, Messrs B. G. Gower, George Coley and A. S. Easton. Messrs Murray Roberts and Co. sent a proxy to. Mr Gower to act on their behalf. Mr Gower was elected chairman.
It was decided, on the motion of Mr Coley, seconded by Mr Gower, that the offer of Mr A. S. Easton to pay five shillings in the pound on all proved claims, and the costs of the bankruptcy, the creditors to receive in addition the book debts and the estate, and Mr A. S. Easton to withdraw his claim of be accepted. It was resolved that the meeting lor the purpose of confirming the deed of composition embodying the above resolution and discharging the bankrupt from further liability, be held at 2 p.m. 011 the 28th inst. in Mr Moore's office.
