THAT BOYCOTT.
[To the Editor.]
Sir, —Allow me to compliment you on your leader of Thursday last. You have my sympathy and that of hundreds more. I’m going to the Regatta on Thursday, and they are not going to extort half-a-crown from me. The promoters in question cannot prevent me from going on the Whirokino, nor from taking a boat on the public waterway, and what’s more they are not going to prevent me from walking within 66 feet of high water mark, I wonder if they know the law relating to the tow path on tidal rivers. If they dare to stop me there’ll be a test case, I don’t mind the halt crown, but the sculling handicap has assumed an altogether new aspect, which has filled me with disgust. —I am, etc., Fly-boy. Foxton, Nov. 29th, 1909.
