THE MASTERTON LIQUOR CASES.

SEVERAL FINES IMPOSED.

Masterton, November 23,

At the Magistrate’s Court today Emily Haviland, William E. Jones, and Herbert Jones were charged with keeping liquor for sale in the No-License area in Masterton.

His Worship said that the evidence in the case of Mfs Haviland showed that both she and her husband had been carrying on illicit sales of liquor, and she would be convicted and fined and costs, seven days being allowed in which to pay. In regard to the two boys, each would be fined ,£ls, the fines to be paid in monthly instalments of £5.
