MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
The first meeting of the pewlyT elected Board was held in the Board’s office last night. Present: Messrs B. G. Gower, O. R. Robison, F. S. Easton, H. G. Hammond and W- S. Carter. Mr Gower was unanimously reelected as chairman and treasurer of the Board. In thanking the members for re-electing him as chairman, he congratulated the old members on their re-election and welcomed the newly-elected members, Messrs Robinson and Carter. • The Clerk reported the amount to the credit of general account was ,£69 is 3d and,to loan account ,£144 2S. Since last meeting .£lB 4s 4d had been received on account of general rates, leaving outstanding £29 16s Sd. Correspondence was' read from Mr T. Ward, the Board’s engineer, advising that the Preestman grab was shipped from England during the first week in October, and should therefore come to hand within the next fortnight. Accounts amounting to ,£2B ns 6d were passed for payment against loan account, and ros 2d against general - account, after which the,meeting terminated.
