THE STEINHEIL MURDER TRIAL.

Paris, November 3

The Trial of Madame Steinheil for the murder of her husband and step-mother in May last year has commenced in Paris.

Two hundred people waited in a queue outside the Court all night to get a seat inside. Some sold their places for 500 francs. [A tremendous sensation was caused in Paris by the arrest of Madame Steinheil. The two victims of the murder were found in M. Steinheil’s studio, and Madame Steinheil was found, bound helpless in the room. The statements of a-valet in the murdered artist’s employ led to suspicion falling on the latter’s young and charming wife.] ■ , ■
