THE TICKET-OF-LEAVE MAN.

PUBLIC HALL, NOVEMBER 9th.

At the Public Hall, Foxton, on Tuesday evening next, the Foxton Athletic Club’s Amateur Dramatic Society will present for the first time in Foxton Mr Tom Taylor’s sensational 4 act drama, “ The Ticket-of-leave Man.” This drama is founded on a French dramatic tale, “Le Retour de Melum,” included in “ Les Drames de la Vic,” by M.M. JBris Barre and Nul, aud has been played by practically all the leading dramatic companies in the world with great success. The local Society have had the piece in careful rehearsal for some months past and should give a good account of themselves in this, their first production. The Club is fortunate in obtaining the services, gratis, of Mr Geo. Tarr in painting the scenery required for the piece, all of which has now been completed. Tickets of admission may be obtained from all members of the Society.
