OTAKI SPRING MEETING.
There was fine weather for the second day of the Otaki races and a good attendance. Railway Handicap. —Simplex 1, Hermia 2,
Second Hack Hurdles- —- Genuine 1, Hatley. A protest against St. Lavender who finished second for crossing and interfering with Hatley was upheld. The rider of St. Lavender (McGregor) was disqualified for one month. Otaki Hack Handicap.—Equitas 1, Marengo 2. Trial Handicap.—Magneto i, Ambrosian 2.
Demonstration Handicap.—Sir Frisco 1, Waipunui 2.
Rangiuru Welter.—Bismarck i, "* Mildura 2. C Electric Hack.—-Lace Collar I, Aim well 2. Welter Handicap. San Fernada 1, Flingot 2.
