MOUTOA NOTES.

(Own Correspondent.)

A most successful euchre party and dance was held in Gardner’s Hall, Moutoa, on Tuesday night, when 25 couples occupied the floor space. The success of the function Is in no small measure due to the energy of the Secretary, Mr Galland. The lady’s prize was won by Miss Annie Bowe, and and the gent’s by Mr Sid. Hudson. Booby prizes were won by Mr and Mrs Newth respectively. Mr Berthold supplied the dance music. I regret to report an accident which recently befel our genial fellow settler, Mr T. Bowe. It appears that in alighting from his trap, he fell and dislocated his shoulder. I am pleased to say he is getting along splendidly.
