CO-OPERATIVE FLAXMILLING.

A scheme of co-operative flaxmilling has been established in Wairoa, Hawke's Bay. The income of the men will vary according to the quality of their work and the market value of hemp, and as the contract Is for six years there will be everj r inducement for the men to manage the flax crop to the best advantage. The men will have an opportunity of proving the feasibility of the principle when it is applied on a liberal basis. The originators of the scheme are the M. F. Bourke Flaxmills Company, who have given over the Wairoa property to the mill hands for six years.
