FLOURMILLERS’ ASSOCIATION.
Christchurch, September 15. A special and exclusive meeting of the directors of the Flourmillers’ Association was held today. Nothing further was decided regarding the future of the association but it is pretty certain that those mills remaining in will hold together as long as wheat maintains anything like, the present prices, for the simple reason that cutting under present conditions, would be disastrous. It is pretty well understood, however, that anything in the nature of a sharp decline in wheat would complete the wreck of the association, and that then it would be a case of every man for himself.
