A DISAPPOINTED BURGLAR.
Inyercargiee, Sept. 10. An attempt was made to enter the Farmers’ Co-operative premises during the night by lowering a ladder from the roof through the skylight. The ladder fell on the floor, and the disappointed burglar on the roof evidently dropped a lighted match, which set fire to some drapery. The blaze was, fortunately seen by a constable, and promptly extinguished by the brigade, the damage being slight.
