PHIL WALSH DRAMATIC COMPANY.
TO-NIGHT.
The above popular company appear in the Public Hall this evening, when they will present the thrilling patriotic naval drama “Sous of the Sea.” Says a Northern exchange : “Sons of the Sea”, is a new and strikingly original drama, combining a happy blend of pathos and comedy, and appeals with quiet but none the less effective force to the sympathies of the audience, holding them with tense interest during the most dramatic movements, and exciting the risible faculties to the utmost in the humorous passages. Mr Walsh has surrounded himself and Miss Poigne with an excellent company —a company of far better calibre than that of more pretentious organisations —with the result that an even and well sustained production was placed before the audience, a production that will doubtless result in this fine company being greeted with a bumper house on their return visit.”
