FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms, on Tuesday night. Present: Messrs J. K. Hornblow (Vice-President) in the chair, A. Imrie, E. Ball, A. Wynd, A. H. Boyes, G. Fowler, E. Healey, M. Perteatt, F. Had* field, and Whibley (secretary). The question of gaslight sports on December. 2nd was further discussed, and a sub - committee, consisting of Messrs E- Ball, A. Wynd, G. Fowler and Hadfield, was appointed to obtain all particulars as to the number of lights required, cost, etc., and to furnish a report at next meeting. Mr Hadfield stated that the Club could have the use of his acetylene plant free. It was decided to guarantee the Railway Department the sum of for a special train from Feilding, on November 9, and also to apply to have price of admission to the ground included in the railway fare.
