PHIL WALSH DRAMATIC COMPANY.
The above dramatic company played a two nights’ season in the local Public Hall, Tuesday and last night, and were greeted with good houses on both occasions. The first night’s bill was the “American Tramp’’ with Mr Walsh filling the title role and Miss Eva MariusPaigne as France Lee. The acting of the above-mentioned gave local theatre-goers an opportunity of hearing artists quite out of the ordinary. In Mr George Tarr the company possesses a comedian whose reputation is too well-known throughout the Dominion to need any comment. The other members of the company sustained their parts with credit. East night the farcical comedy, “The Kangaroo Girl’’ was staged and the fun was fast and furious from start to finish. Mr Walsh's announcement that the company would pay a return visit at a later date was received with hearty applause.
