MARKET REPORT.

Messrs Mouusey and Co., report having held a most successful in the estate of the late T. Nye at the farm yesterday., There was a large attendance of buyers from Foxton and the surrounding districts, every line being cleared at record prices. Bidding was very spirited on the early calves, late calves not being so eagerly sought after. Owing to the time of the year the stock did not look in the best of condition, buyers noted that, otherwise prices would still have been higher. Pigs were_ in great demand as also were the implements and vehicles, the furniture and sundries all sold well. On Tuesday the firm sold the whole of Mr Rae-Howard’s household furniture, prices throughout the sale being well maintained, a total clearance being made at satisfactory prices. We quote Cows—Early calvers £6 los. to £9 ios, late calvers £ 2 to £b los, springing heifers ,£4los to los, 7s 6d, yearling bull £2 3s, calves 9s, yearlings 305, sheep 13s, 2-yr heifers 56s 6d, gelding £i<i> brown mare £2O ss, milk cans 15s and 16s. Pigs—Sows £1 10s, £2 17s 6d £3 ios, weaners 9s, boars £2 ios, porkers 355, 355, sow and litter £ 4, firewood 13s 6d cord, spring dray £2O 15s, block dray £3 ss, harrows £3, plough £B. A quantity of timber was also sold on behalf of the Drainage Board at satisfactory prices.
