SERIOUS BURNING ACCIDENT.
THREE PERSONS BURNT,

A serious burning accident occurred this morning on a farm between Kltham and Mangatoki. Some clothes were drying before the fire in a house occoupied by a share dairy farmer named Bills. By some means Mrs Bills’ clothes caught fire, and also those ot her two daughters, aged 4 and n, who went to their mother’s assistance. The house also caught fire, but the children escaped outside, and the mother was dragged out by a son who came on the scene and was followed by the husband and others who were some distance away. The mother had the whole of her clothing burned on her body, and is fearfully injured, and the girls are also badly burned, and their hair is destroyed i but the injuries are not so serious as their mother’s. They were brought into a private hospital in Kltham. The house and contents, including some money, were totally destroyed. The family only possess the clothes they were wearing.
