CHARGED WITH THE CRIME.
At the local S.M. Court last evening, before*Alf. Fraser Esq., J.P. the accused Hedley Nye was charged by the police that on the sth July 1909, at Foxton, did wilfully kill one Thomas Nye by shooting him in the neck with a shot gun and causing death, thereby committing murder. , The accused was remanded to appear at the S.M. Court at Palmerston on Thursday,. Bth inst. He left Foxton for Palmerston by the morning train and appeared quite unconcerned. He heartily partook of his meals. When arrested he had in his possession a cheque lour cartridges, a small memorandum book and his father’s singlebarrel shot gun.
