Mr and Mrs S. Messena left Fokton on Thursday for a five weeks sojourn at Te Aroha and Rotorua. The friends of Mr and Mrs de Ridder will be pleased to learn that there is a slight improvement in the health of their daughter Freda, who has passed through a critical illness.

Mr Palmer, who is re-visiting Foxton, after an absence of 20 years, informs us fhgt he finds a marked improvement in the town,, and an absence of many once familiar friends. After leaving Foxton, just prior to the flax boom, Mr Palmer took up land ,ur the Marlborough province, and has recently disposed of his farm.
