FEILDING BOROUGH ADVERTISING.

At Thursday night’s meeting of the Feilding Borough Council the name of this journal was taken in vain by a certain councillor, rfoho implied that if a certain newspaper, outside Feilding, was given the borough advertising at a cut rate there was nothing to prevent the Herald stepping in with an offer to do it for an even less amount. We desire to inform the Feilding Borough Council that we do not' conduct our business on those lines. The advertising rates, the Council are now paying its' local paper—and we claim to speak with a good knowledge of the subject—is fair and reasonable. We are pleased to know that a majority of the Council 1 - discerned’, the ulterior prompted the offer to do the advertising at a cut rate.
