AN OLD MAN'S SUICIDE.

Masterton, June 25

An old colonist named Brown Hunt was found dead at his residence at Opaki this morning with a revolver wound in his head. A revolver, with one discharged chamber, was found in his hand. The deceased lived alone, and was believed to have considerable means. He was seventy-four years of age. The doctor who was called in thinks that Hunt had been dead since Wednesday. No probable cause-is assigned for the suicide.
