WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH.
Napier, Last Night
The school residence at Poraugahau was totally destroyed by fire on Tuesday night and Mrs H. Robson, aged about 25 years, wife of the schoolmaster, perished in the flames.
A man named Sutton managed to rescue a boy about three years of age, the only child of deceased, through a window. It was then impossible to enter the building. The husband was in his workshop some distance to the rear of the house at the time and was unaware of the fire until the alarm was given by the neighbours.
