PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.
QUARTERBY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Foxton Primitive Methodist Circuit was heid in the Foxton Church on Wednesday afternoon. The following officials were present *. —Revs. J. Glover, P. J. Mairs, and Messrs G. H. Stiles (secretary), M. H. Walker, H. Baker, A. Osborne, S. Read, and Messrs J- Judd and H. Saunders, representatives from Shannon. Everything in connection with the Foxton Church was reported to be in a prosperous condition; increased congregations and 22 members added to the church roll. It was also reported the Sunday School was flourishing; the senior classes, recently formed require extra accommodation. The finances constituted a record, from all sources there being a total income for Foxton Church for the past quarter of £63 14s 6d, besides a number of special gifts including a large Humphrey lamp at the entrance of the Church, donated by a number of young men. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to all the generous donors. It was Stated that the recent mission had given a spiritual impetus to the Church which augured well for the future.
