LOCAL OPTION.
TO BE GRANTED IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA, TRADE PAYS COMPENSATION. Perth, May 29. The Premier informed a local option deputation that his Cabinet intended to carry out its promises in regard to granting local option. It desired to deal equitably with both parties. Compensation would come from the trade, and not from the corfrmunity. He hoped the people would use their power with moderation.
