There were also present :—Messrs Rev. Aitken, Hornblow, Rae-Howard, Alex Speirs (Foxton); Wilton (Oroua Bridge) ; Matheson, Stratton, Richardson, McCully, (Tiakitahuna) ; Farmer and Costall (Glen Oroua). The financial position was considered very satisfactory. It was decided to endorse a petition to raise the status of the Foxton charge. The petition will be forwarded on to Presbytery and if approved of by that body will be submitted to the Assembly to be finally dealt with. It was decided to purchase another horse for the minister. It was reported that steps were being taken to erect a church building at Tiakitahuna. After other business had been transacted the delegates were entertained at a sumptuous dinner in the hall by the lady members of the church, after which a meeting of session was held which endorsed the committees action re raising the status of the charge.
