NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
Alientiou is again directed to the National Dairy Show of the Manawatu, West Coast A. and P. Association, Palmerston North, which is now looked upon as the dairyman’s carnival of the North Island. The date of the show is fixed for June 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th next. The prize list has been framed on very liberal terms and embraces fruit, vegetables, farm root and agricultural seeds, in each of these divisions special points prizes are also to be awarded ranging in value from is to £2 2s, besides a cash prize of £lO for collection of apples, other s.ctions provided for are home industries, farmers separator and nonseparator butler. The public school boy provides for a natuie study collection in accordance with the Education Board’s syllabus besides a class for garden produce with £22, in prizes, and a subsidy of £2 10s to each school making an exhibit is provided. Collectors of dry grasses, weeds, and insects will also find liberal provision made for exhibiting same. The poultry show at the National Dairy Show is always catered for with a liberal prize list by the executive, the breeds catered foi are: —Utility poultry breed and ducks, with selling classes for pairs and trios. Entries for the dairy factory butter and cheese classes have already closed, and it is noteworthy to mention that whereas five years' ago this Association only recevied 50 entries, those for the June show total 202. The exhibits in dairy machinery this year will again be on a comprehensive scale and worthy of a vi-il from those interested in dairy fac tory work and dairymen.
