THE NEW FREEZING WORKS.
Mr Corrigan, who organised the Nelson Co-operative Freezing Works, is assisting in the formation ot the new cooperative freezing works for Wairarpa ann Manawatu, and is already assured that the necessary capital to float the concern will be forthcoming. The question of site will be submitted for expert decision after flotation.
At a meeting of the Farmers’ Co-operative Freezing Company, held at Pahiatua, a committee, consisting of Messrs Cooper, Quirk, Domax, and Hodgins, was appointed to carry on detail work until the formation of the company and to revise the articles of association. It was stated that capital amounting to ,£xo,ooo was now in sight, having been already guaranteed in sums ranging from ■£2oo to ,£SOO. The prospectus was adopted, the chairman being commended on the excellent manner in which he had drawn it up. Messrs Quirk and Hodgins were added to the directorate, in place of R- McKenzie (Kopuarauga) and Robinson (Pongaroa). Mr rigan, of Nelson, received a hearty vote of thauks for his organising work, which he was urged to continue.
