Auckland, May 10. The Auckland Tramway Company’s depot at Epsom was burglariously entered • about one o’clock bn Sunday morning and in silver coin stolen. Thames, May 10. At the inquest on Elsie Johnston it was stated that deceased left a note addressed to her family expressing the determination to “end it all.” Her home life was happy and comfortable, and she wanted for nothing. A verdict of temporary insanity was returned. Some years ago deceased’s cousin drowned herself in almost the same spot. Wellington, May 10. Mr Riddell, S.M., was to give judgment this morning in the prosecutions for selling the newspaper Truth, but the point was raised, based on a recent English case, that the information should state specifically whether the publication in question was alleged to be indecent, obscene, or immoral. The Crown intimated that in the present case they would place indecency as the main indictment A rehearing was fixed for the 19th inst.
