VALENTINE’S PICTURES.

Next Wednesday and Thursday the playgoing public of Foxton are promised a real treat in the shape of an entertainment by Mr Valentine’s All Star Picture Company. The various papers of the Dominion speak most highly of the performance, which is classed as one of the finest combinations at present touring the Dominion. On the present occasion Mr Valentine is bringing a Collection of films that deal with every class of country in the world. Being in touch with the maker’s both at home and on the Continent, Mr Valentine is in the position that enables him to procure the very best procurable, his agents keeping him informed of everything new that is taking place in connection with the picture world. Next Wednesday Mr Valentine intends presenting that beautiful Shakespearian tragedy Romeo and Juliet, this film being the latest production by Gaumont and Co. - The whole play is complete .qljtV every detail, and the various" people of the Dominion who have witnessed this picture say that it is so clear that you can recognise well-known actors and actresses that are taking part in the duction. Mr Gaumont has spared no expense to make this one of his finest films, engaging the Lyceum Theatre and a company of 60 high class artists to stage the piece. The programme consists of comic as well as pathetic pictures, in fact every class is catered for. In conjunction with the pictures Mr Valentine presents Mr Harry Edwards, society entertainer, a performer of whom the papers speak in the highest terms, introducing as he does ballads, comic songs, patter songs and coon impersonations. The musical portion of the programme is in the capable hands of Miss Ester Nordera, A.L.C.M. Nothing but the very best class of music being introduced during the performance. Coming with the reputation that the company does, a full house should greet them on their opening night here.
