FIRE IN SYDNEY.

Sydney, April 22. A fire broke out at 4 o’clock this morning in a large six-story building in George Street North, part of which is occupied as a branch post office and part by the Bulletin newspaper. The fire brigades had a hard fight to keep back the fire from the Bulletin office. They failed to save the other portion of the structure. The Bulletin office is practically undamaged. The other half of the building, which comprised the branch post office and the General Post Office stores, is completely destroyed. The damage will probably amount to ,£50,000. The fire destroyed ,£15,000 worth of postal stores, including £9 00 worth of stamps and postal not es.
