WEDDING BELLS.

HENDERSON—FLOYD." A very pretty wedding took place at St. Margaret’s Church, Taihape, on Wednesday, March 24th, when Thomas, eldest sou of Mr Thomas Henderson of this town, was united in marriage to Carrie, youngest daughter Of the late W. A. Flold, of the Public 1 Works Department, Taihape. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr C. E. Eaidlay, looked charming in a white silk empire dress and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet. Miss Ethel Floyd, sister of the bride, acted as chief bridesmaid and wore a pretty empire dress of brown silk; also Miss Ena Wall iu white embroidered muslin and master Jack Miles as page boy. Mr W. Henderson, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man; The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. W. Clarkson, vicat of the parish. After the ceremony the guests sat down to the wedding breakfast in the Parish Hall, when several snapshots were taken’ of the tables which reflected great credit on the ladies for the artistic decorations. Afterwards the happy couple proceeded to the railway station, amidst showers of rice and good wishes, probably to spend their honeymoon in the South Island. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy blue tailor-made costume with hat to match. The happy couple have the honour of their marriage being the first performed since the completion of St. Margaret’s Church and Parish Hall. The presents were costly and numerous.
