TRAGEDY IN THE NATIONAL GALLERY.
London, February 25.
Visitors to the National Gallery were startled by a well-dressed man suddenly shooting and killing his female companion, and then commiting suicide. The deceased were identified as an American couple, named Dawson, of independent means, residing at Brighton. Dawson left a letter stating that he was the victim of blackmailers.
