Hwang Yung Liang, Chinese Consul for New Zealand, who is on his way to his new post, in an interview declared that the Yellow Peril fears were amusing, and quite wide of the mark. The Chinese had not the least idea of giving battle, as the love of peace was engrained in them. They wished to co-operate in any movement best calculated to advance the well-being of humanity as a whole.
