LICENSING BENCH ELECTION.

After the excitement of the general election and the licensing poll, it has not apparantly yet begun to be realised by the voters that another election is to take place almost immediately. It is the'election of the various licensing committees, and it takes place on the 9-h of March. In view of the strong forces at work for and against no-liceuse, the present election will probably be of more than usual interest, and it is strange that some official notification has not already been made concerning it. It is not known, for instance, that the roll for the purpose of the licensing committee election closes on the 15th of February, but such is the fact, and any person not on the roll at the general elect ion can he enrolled on a supplementary list up to that dale, when the roll will be closed and piinted. Any person who has come of age since the general election can now secure enrolment if otherwise qualified, but after the 15th hist, no new enrolment or transfer can be made. The licensing committees are elected by the same voters as the Parliamentary representatives, and those who take any interest in the event should now begin to bestir themselves.
