THE WOOL SALES.
Invercargill, February 9
The last wool sale of the present series was held to-day, when 4004 bales were offered, and practically all were sold. It was generally anticipated, in view of the recent northern sales, that the prices would be lower, but considering that there was less than half the quantity offered, and that most of the best clips have been sold, the prices were fully equal to those of the January sale. Dower grade wools were fully id better. Tfie best price was obtained for a three-bale lot of super crossbred hogget, which sold for is.
The best prices for other sorts were: Halt-bred strong crossbred q|d. The prices were fully up to last sales quotations.
