HUTT LICENSING POLL.

Wellington, January 18.

The inquiry into the Hutt Local Option Poll continued on Saturday, when the petitioners concluded their case with the exception of two witnesses. In opening his case for the defence, Mr Skerrett contended that the No-License Party required five more votes to alter the result. Regarding the other allegations in the petition, counsel submitted that no evidence whatever had been adduced to show that the poll had been af? fected.
