TENNIS.
A pleasant afternoon was spent at the local tenuis courts yesterday afternoon. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs 0. E. Austin.
The following are the results of the ladder competition played recently ;—J. Heimessy* 40, F. Collins 28 ; K. Furrie 29, W. E. Bar- , nard 40 ; L. Wilson 32, Baillie 40; Barnard 32, F. Collins 40. The following challenges have been received to be played shortly; A. Fraser v. A. Orwin, J. Heunessy v. S. Wanklyn, G. Phillips v. W. Gordon-, K. Furrie v. W. Barnard.
