AUCTION REPORT.
Mr Percy M. Page reports holding a clearing sale on account of the trustees in the late Mrs Whyte’s Estate. The attendance of buyers was very good and bidding brisk, every line being sold under the hammer, with the exception of a very handsome “ Hopkinson ” piano which I am now prepared to offer at a price which .defies competition. Owing to au Oversight the properties which were to have been submitted at 3 p.m., were not put up to auction, but arrangements are being made to hold an auction sale of properties next week,- when the public will be afforded an opportunity of buying same. A clearing sale was also held on account of Mrs Geo. Nye, when all lines were quitted at prices satisfactory to the vendor. On Saturday last Mr Connor’s consignment of toys was offered and a large amount sold under the hammer, the sale lasting for four and a half hours. The balance will be submitted on Christmas Eve.
