CRICKET.
A meeting of the Foxton Cricket Association was held in Mr Peireau’s rooms last night. Present: Messrs Stiles, Woods, Johnston (Debaters), Robinson (Foxton), and the Secretary. A protest was received from the Debaters’ Club against the win of Foxton over Himatangi, on the grounds that the former played a member of the Debaters' Club. - It was decided that the match be forfeited to Himatangi. It was decided to play four rounds in the present competition, and the following fixtures were drawn up. SECOND ROUND. Jan. 6. —Himatangi v. Debaters, at Himatangi. Jan. 13. —Foxton v. Debaters, at Foxton. Jan. 27. —Foxton v. Himatangi, at Himatangi. THIRD ROUND, Feb. 3. —Debaters v. Himatangi, at Foxton. Feb. 10. —Foxton v. Debaters, at Foxton. Feb. 17. —Foxton v. Himatangi, at Foxton. FOURTH ROUND. Feb. 24. — Debaters v. Himatangi, at Himatangi. March 3. —Foxton v. Debaters, at Foxton. March 10. —Foxton v. Himatangi, at Himatangi. The Secretary gave notice to move at next meeting that the points allowed in championship matches be two fo r a win, and one for a draw. Messrs Stiles, Nye and Whitten were elected a Selection Committe for the Association. It was decided that the match set down for December 9th, and not played, be forfeited to Himatangi, as the Debaters’ team did not put in au appearance. Mr Woods gave notice to move at the next meeting that the motion relating to the time of starting matches be rescinded and the following rule substituted : ‘ 1 That all cup matches commence at 2 p.m., and in the event of any team nof ueiug' commence at 2.30 p.m., the matcn forfeited if claimed by the opposing team. It was decided to hold the next meeting on Jan. sth, 1909./ 1
